This Stand & Deliver seminar is based on the philosophy that all professionals are "leaders" regardless of where they might fit in to the organizational chart. We will provide seminar participants with practical leadership tools and strategies in dealing with the many pressures of organizational life. We will coach participants toward becoming "change agents" who don't simply accept change, but embrace and lead it.

This Stand & Deliver leadership seminar will profile the styles a variety of proven leaders (including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Secretary of State Colin Powell, Yankee Manager Joe Torre, Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and President George Bush) who can teach us through their experience. We will also challenge participants to analyze and develop leadership strategies to deal with real life, organizational and market-driven cases developed by the Stand & Deliver team.

Finally, seminar participants will develop realistic "action plans" to implement meaningful change in their organization that will reap immediate and lasting results. One specific seminar activity will help participants identify obstacles to implementing change as well as guide them to developing strategies or actions to turn these obstacles into opportunities. Specifically, participants will learn how to:

  • share valuable information with their colleagues
  • be aware of how their communication style affects the functioning of their team
  • contribute to an open, supportive environment that is conducive to team building
  • coach and mentor others on their team
  • take risks and propose new ideas without fear of reprisal
  • identify how they are currently leading change within their organization
  • explore new ways to lead change in the organization
  • more effectively "reframe" issues and objections in order to build consensus and motivate team members
